Dr. Eldaif is an experienced board-certified thoracic surgeon specializing in robotic surgical procedures. He assumed the role of chief of thoracic surgery for Northside Hospital Atlanta, Cherokee and Forsyth during the summer of 2020 after finishing his tenure as the chair of surgery. Alongside his Northside Hospital surgical colleagues, Dr. Eldaif has been instrumental in building a comprehensive robotic lung and esophageal program, which has allowed the Northside Hospital Cancer Institute to become one of the nation’s leading providers of minimally invasive lung and esophageal cancer care.
Dr. Eldaif attended Roswell High School before he went on to Emory University where he graduated with dual degrees in chemistry and near eastern studies. He stayed at Emory to attend the School of Medicine as well as to complete both his general surgery residency and cardiothoracic surgical fellowship. During his surgical training, he spent two additional years conducting novel cardiothoracic research focused on improving surgical outcomes. Dr. Eldaif then went on to complete a highly specialized Advanced Thoracic Robotic Fellowship at the University of Alabama Birmingham so that he may offer his patients the most sophisticated and innovative therapies available.
Dr. Eldaif has a keen interest in incorporating minimally invasive treatment modalities in the care of benign and malignant thoracic diseases for his patients. He has authored and co-authored many publications discussing advanced treatments for achalasia, Barrett’s esophagus, esophageal and lung cancer, as well as tracheal and thoracic trauma.
