About Dr. Ammar A. Asban

Dr. Ammar Asban is a thoracic surgeon whose care philosophy is rooted in compassion, precision and partnership.

Dr. Asban is known for combining cutting-edge surgical techniques — including robotic surgery and enhanced recovery protocols — with a personalized, patient-centered approach. He specializes in robotic-assisted thoracic and foregut surgery, including procedures such as lobectomy, pneumonectomy, chest wall reconstruction and hiatal hernia repair.

Dr. Asban believes in treating the whole person, not just the disease, and places strong emphasis on patient education, collaboration and communication. A leader in advancing thoracic surgical techniques, he is dedicated to innovation, education, and shaping the future of the field. He finds deep fulfillment in guiding patients through challenging times, offering not only medical expertise but also reassurance and hope.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Asban enjoys hiking, skiing, camping, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
